Navy Day is on 4th December and as part of the week long celebrations, the Southern Naval Command will organise the twin events of Navy Ball and Navy Queen competition on December 12, 2009. The Navy Queen is one of south India’s most colourful beauty pageants. The Navy Queen prelims will be held across five cities – Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kochi – from which 15 contestants will qualify for the final round. The Navy Queen contest is the grand finale to the Navy Ball which promises an evening filled with pomp
