Tvm: As part of the IT Awareness Mela for Children being held in Thiruvananthapuram during the summer vacation, Akshaya is organising a drawing and painting competition for children this Saturday.
School students from LP to High School can participate in the Akshaya Chithra Rachana Competition 2010 to be held at the Museum compound on May 08, 2010 from 10 am onwards. Participants can register for the competition through Akshaya centres in Trivandrum. The application form is available for download on the Akshaya home page. There is also a provision for spot registration at the venue at 8.30 am.
According to the Akshaya District Coordinator, this is an initiative to make the children aware of the multifaceted activities of Akshaya and make them participate in these activities. The organisers hope these children would help in bridging the digital divide in future.
Organised by the Kerala State IT Mission in association with Akshaya, C-DIT and the Hi-Tech Cell of Kerala Police, the IT Mela will conclude on May 15, 2010. The Chithra Rachana Competition 2010 being organised by Akshaya in association with the Kerala State IT Mission.
The three week long IT Awareness Mela for Children being held in the premises of the Jawahar Bala Bhavan was inaugurated on April 26, 2010. The basic idea of this mela is to make the children aware of the tremendous potential of IT while being secure online.
