Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum is hosting a ‘very original’ music concert by Monsieur Untel at Vyloppilly Samskriti Bhavan on January 13, 2012 at 6.30 pm. Monsieur Untel represents the new generation of French musicians who tries to give a different perspective to the ordinary things in the world. His songs are satirical expressions of the modern world and its ways, which he equates to the animal world.

Goethe Zentrum presents Minguet Quartet @ Trivandrum, Nov 20
Tvm: As part of the ‘Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities’ programme, Goethe Zentrum Trivandrum is hosting the Minguet Quartet on November 20, 2011. The Minguet Quartet was founded in 1988 and is today made up of Ulrich Isfort (violin I), Annette Reisinger (violin II), Aroa Sorin (viola) and Matthias Diener (cello). The group takes its name from Pablo Minguet, an eighteenth-century Spanish philosopher who in his writings tried to make the fine arts accessible to the masses. The Minguet Quartet has the same intention.
Hay Festival Kerala @ Trivandrum, Nov 17-19
Tvm: Trivandrum is all set to host the second edition of Hay Festival Kerala from November 17-19, 2011. The festival organisers have announced the programme details, which include discussions on films, children’s literature, world literature, regional literature, socio-political discussions, the publishing world and more. Entry to the Hay Festival is free for all. The festival will host close to 45 sessions spread across the three days.
Alliance Française presents Mediterranean Music Oct 15
Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India will present a Mediterranean music night by Akim El Sikameya on October 15, 2011. In the first-of-its-kind-concert in Thiruvananthapuram, Akim El Sikameya will perform his unique Mediterranean music which is a blend of Arab, Andulasian, Gypsy, Flamenco, Folk, Nouba, Ska, Raï, Acoustic, Roots and Jazz.
Don’t Sprint the Marathon (Session on Parenting) Aug 27
Tvm: Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a session on parenting, ‘Don't Sprint the Marathon’ at Hotel Classic Avenue in Thiruvananthapuram on August 27, 2011. The two hour session would be led by V Raghunathan, former professor at IIM Ahmedabad.
Textile artworks exhibition @ Alliance Française, Aug 20 - Sep 03
Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India is organising ‘The Sacred Grove - Trees of Vrindavan’, an exhibition of creative expressions of Textile artist and Designer, Medha Bhatt Ganguly from August 20 to September 03, 2011. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr. George Onakkoor at the Art Gallery in Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
National Integration Magic Summit Aug 13-15
Tvm: India Jaal, the National Integration Magic Summit will be held in Thiruvananthapuram during August 13-15, 2010. Ethnic prelude on August 13, National magic carnival on August 14 and National integration magic fest on August 15 are the highlights of the National Integration Magic Summit.
