Q2 Results for Kerala IT News

Tvm: It’s the time when most companies declare their Q4 results and as the Editor, I thought of giving a quick update from our side too but this would be our Q2 results.

Although we started ‘Kerala IT News’ in July 2009, we went live on www.keralaitnews.com from October 2009 and the results so far have been very encouraging, especially for a start-up. The response from the industry and readers has been tremendous. To give you some figures:

Traffic Details:
▪  19539 Visits in March 2010 (+3443 since February 2010)
▪  81537 Page Views in March 2010
▪  4.17 Page Views per Visit
▪  630 Daily Average Visits in March 2010 (from 25 in October 2009)
▪  84 Countries Global reach

Traffic Source:
▪  49% Direct Traffic
▪  33% from Search Engines
▪  18% from Referring Sites

Source: Webalizer & Google Analytics

All this won’t have been possible but for the support and cooperation that we got from the IT Companies in Kerala, the PR Agencies and the various Government Departments, particularly from the I&PRD, Kerala IT including Technopark, Infopark & Cyberpark, Kerala IT Mission, IT@School, Akshaya and Kerala Police.

The next round of applause goes to our readers who have been very encouraging and demanding as well. Let me also place on record our appreciation for all our contributors including several company heads who write Guest Articles for us.

When we started off, we were the first comprehensive IT news portal in Kerala and the fact that others have followed us is indeed a sign of our success. We are confident that we have set new standards in IT News & Events coverage in Kerala. I hope we will be able to maintain this tempo.

Recently we have started new features like Email Subscription, SMS Alert and you can also follow us on Twitter or be a fan on Facebook, just to make sure you get the news from Kerala IT News, wherever you are. So untill our annual results, we look forward to your continued support.
