Kozhikode: Swizcom Consultancy Services India, an IT services company based in Bangalore, has announced the implementation and deployment of the MediSwiz ™ Hospital Management System at the Al Noor Hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala which was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy. The new medical facility marks the Middle-East based group`s diversification into the Indian medical care segment and also the introduction of MediSwiz in Kerala.

Designed and developed by Swizcom, in conjunction with research advancements and database systems from WHO (World Health Organization) and other accredited international bodies, MediSwiz seamlessly merges business intelligence, efficient administration and patient management, resulting in better service, patient approval ratings and resource utilization. This platform is only one of many application packages designed and deployed by Swizcom.

In a release, Jainul Abid, Director, Swizcom said, “We designed the MediSwiz platform keeping in mind patient friendly hospitals like Al Noor. In the ever-expanding world of medicine, hospitals need to keep abreast of the latest developments in technology and infrastructure, which would promote their facilities and ensure complete patient satisfaction. MediSwiz incorporates all necessary aspects of hospital management such as admissions, asset management, stocks and inventories, patient and medicine management, administration and payrolls, reporting, and a host of other services.”

Swizcom was set up in the year 2007 as a software consulting firm aiming at providing scientific functional consulting to the enterprise market. Over the years the consulting activity and intellectual IT platforms paved way to sector specific products that suits various enterprise market requirements. Kozhikode: The 16th session of NASSCOM EMERGE Forum Fridays’ 2.0 will be held on January 31, 2012 at Kozhikode. The Malabar Chamber of Commerce will host the event, the highlight of which will be a talk by Dr. Saji Gopinath, Dean, IIM Kozhikode on Blue Ocean Strategy. According to a communiqué from Nasscom, while the event is free for both Members and Non Members, prior registration is mandatory.

Alappuzha: Infosys is planning to invest about Rs.800 crores in Kerala over the next five years to expand its operations and expects to generate 10,000 new jobs here. This was disclosed by S D Shibulal, CEO, Infosys at Alappuzha on Saturday. Shibulal, who is from Muhamma in Alappuzha District, was in town to receive felicitations from the Alappuzha Press Club, on his becoming the Infosys CEO.

Kollam: Amrita University has announced a pioneering online education initiative - Free All India Tuition Programme, for all college students. The online programme is supported by the Ministry of Human Resources Development’s (MHRD) National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NME-ICT) initiative. Initially, the pilot programme will be launched in Kerala and later, extended to other States.

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Communications & IT, Shri Sachin Pilot, today emphasised the importance of the role of the State Governments in the promotion of Electronics System and Design Manufacturing (ESDM) industry in the country. He was addressing a meeting with Chief Ministers and Ministers of the States held in New Delhi today. He also added that while the Government is coming up with a comprehensive policy framework to make it globally competitive to invest in India.
