Kochi: Open Coffee for Women, a first of its kind initiative in Kerala that aims to initiate networking and knowledge sharing among women entrepreneurs in the State will be held on January 13, 2012 at Kochi. Open Coffee for Women is being jointly organised by Bridge India and VoW, the Views of Women. The programme is open to enterprising women, aspiring women entrepreneurs and students who would like to come together, interact and share their experiences and curiosities on entrepreneurship.
Bridge is a global IT staffing company with offices in Holland, Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, Moldova and India. Bridge India has been successfully organising the Open Coffee Kerala events in Kochi since 2010. VoW showcases the contributions of business personnel, celebrities, writers, professionals and home makers who have marked their footprints in the respective fields.
Parveen Hafeez, Managing Director of Sunrise Hospitals, will be the chief guest for the inaugural event and she will share her story of being an entrepreneur and the challenges she faced on the way. This would be followed by an open interaction with her.
According to the organisers, women in Kerala step back from business with the fear of family, society and a whole lot of other reasons. But, those who have ventured out as entrepreneurs have proved their worth in this arena and have conquered heights. Open Coffee for Women will open up a whole new platform for women entrepreneurs, students and aspiring entrepreneurs in Kerala to come together, interact and ultimately choose a different path of being real entrepreneurs.
