Tvm: The loss of the proposed SmartCity project in Kochi would not affect the prospects of the IT industry in Kerala. This was stated by Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan in the Legislative Assembly while replying to the debate on Motion of Thanks to Governor R S Gavai for his address.

The CM also said that the IT sector in the state had registered a tremendous growth in the last four years of LDF rule. IT exports had increased from Rs.680 crores in 2006 to Rs.3,000 crores and the government had taken steps to sustain the growth rate, he added.
