IBS wins International award for Excellence in Air Cargo

Tvm: IBS Software, the Technopark Trivandrum based IT systems provider to the global air transportation industry, has received the prestigious ‘Stat Times International Awards for Excellence in Air Cargo’ at the recently concluded Air Cargo Africa 2011 event in Nairobi, Kenya. Based on a global on-line poll, IBS was adjudged as the runner up in the award category 'International IT Systems Provider of the Year in Africa'.

IBS earned the award for its new generation, iCargo solution which is widely being hailed as one of the most definitive IT products in the world for managing the movement of air cargo. The award was presented at a glittering ceremony on the concluding day of the Air Cargo Africa event attended, among others, by leading airlines, industry consultants & experts, airport representatives and service providers to the global air transportation industry.

Receiving the award, Akshay Shrivastava, Sr. VP & Global Head of Business Solutions and Service Delivery said, “This award is true endorsement of the professionalism and domain expertise of IBS staff.  It is their commitment that has enabled iCargo to attain leadership position in the industry. I am proud to receive the award on behalf of the entire team”.
 
Air Cargo Africa, a biennial air cargo conference and expo, provides opportunities to global players from the air freight industry to meet and find ways to tap into the huge market potential of the African continent. The recognition comes close on the heels of the region’s largest carrier, South African Airways, implementing iCargo across its network of 48 stations including 39 international locations.
