Tvm: Come weekends and 21 football teams from 19 companies in Technopark, Trivandrum are playing out each other in the UST Football Tournament. Goal’10, hosted by UST Global, which is into its third successive year now can well be considered the official football tournament in Technopark. Starting with the group fixtures on August 08, the tournament will wind up with the finals on September 11, 2010.
Coming after the FIFA fever, this football tournament has swept the imagination of football aficionados at Technopark, at the LNCPE stadium near Technopark. Employees from various IT Companies in Technopark cheered for their teams in the Qualifying rounds which will conclude tomorrow. The Quarter final league matches will be played on August 28 & 29 and September 4 and the Semi-Final would be held on September 5, 2010.
Infosys A team, Lino Computers, NeST, RR Donelley, IIITMK and Tata Elxsi are some companies who have won their first round matches. Keep watching this space as we bring more updates about the matches.
