Tvm: Infosys today announced the rotation of top leadership to broaden experience and accelerate client value through cross industry perspectives. B G Srinivas, Global Head of Manufacturing & Engineering business will take over as the new leader of the company’s Financial Services & Insurance business. Ashok Vemuri, present Global Head of its Financial Services & Insurance business will now lead the company’s Manufacturing & Engineering business. The changes are effective April 1, 2012.

Tvm: Lepeesh Parat, Founder & CEO of the Technopark based Zesty Beanz Technologies was conferred the ‘Star Entrepreneur Award’ at the 5th Indira International Innovation Summit held in Pune, earlier this month. Lepeesh was recognised for his leadership and contribution in the field of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The award consists of a trophy and a citation. The Summit is one of the largest rendezvous of Innovators from different areas of expertise.

Tvm: As part of its community reach out programmes to transform lives, UST Global, a leading IT services company in Kerala, conducted a talent hunt for students of Government schools in and around Thiruvananthapuram Corporation area. The competition is planned to be amongst the children of three categories - Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School / Higher Secondary and finally two schools; one Champion and one runner-up will be identified.

Tvm: SIROCo Technologies, the IT division of the Saudi Arabia based business group, System Integration and Rapid Orchestration Controls (SIROCo), has expanded its operations to India. A facility of the company in Technopark, Trivandrum was inaugurated today by the Minister for IT & Industries, Shri P K Kunhalikutty. SIROCo’s Indian operations are based out of its office and development centre located in Thejaswini building within the Technopark campus.

Tvm: It was in June 2009 that Mervin Alexander, a 1987 batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer, took charge as the Chief Executive Officer of Technopark, Trivandrum, on deputation with the Government of Kerala and recently, he completed his tenure (in November 2011). Kerala IT News caught up with him before he leaves for New Delhi to do a one year course in Defence Security and Strategy Studies at the National Defence College.
