The Malayalam Wiki (ml.wikipedia.org) is the Malayalam language edition of Wikipedia, the free and publicly editable online encyclopedia and was launched on December 21, 2002. ‘Emerging Kerala’ road show in Mumbai on May 15
Tvm: Amid signs of rising interest among the Business community following the launch of the ‘Emerging Kerala’ branding campaign, a confident and resurgent Kerala will hold a road show in India’s financial Capital on May 15, 2012 with a call to captains of trade and industry to forge mutually beneficial economic and commercial engagements with the state and help accelerate its rapid economic growth.
Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy along with Industries & IT Minister, Shri P K Kunhalikutty and Finance Minister, Shri K M Mani, will launch the road show by holding an interactive session with the India Inc and unfolding before them a raft of potentials and opportunities that state has on offer for making investments in God’s Own Country. Leading entrepreneurs from Kerala will share their success stories.
The meeting is part of a string of domestic and international road shows, business meets and conclaves the Kerala government has planned in connection with ‘Emerging Kerala’, a three-day global connect opportunity for business leaders, investors and policymakers scheduled in the commercial hub of Kochi from September 12 - 14.
Emerging Kerala is being organised by the Government of Kerala with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and NASSCOM as partners to the event. The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) is the nodal agency for the summit, which is intended as a biennial event.
Alkesh Sharma IAS, Secretary - Industry & MD, KSIDC said, “The goal of this branding exercise is to catalyse growth through enabling policies and to facilitate an environment for business development. We need to highlight the fact that Kerala is an investor-friendly destination with the potential to become an economic powerhouse of the country.”
Emerging Kerala will be provide a platform to Corporate and Business Leaders, Heads of the Governments, Experts, Planners and stakeholders to also discuss, deliberate and advise on the future course of action for sustainable economic development in Kerala and India.
The Chief Minister and his key ministers and senior bureaucrats had earlier met top business leaders and overseas diplomats in New Delhi on April 20, signaling the launch of a six-month-long build-up to one of the biggest investment branding exercises the State has ever undertaken.
