ITIs in Kerala set for a smart technological upgradation

Tvm: Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Kerala under the Directorate of Employment & Training, Government of Kerala, are all set for a total makeover of the course and technological upgradation. The ITI Smart Learn, Virtual Classrooms and other initiatives will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy at the Govt. Women’s ITI at Kozhikode on May 17, 2012. This was announced by the Labour Minister, Shri Shibu Baby John in Thiruvananthapuram today.

Pareeksha Bhavan to launch online details verification facility

Tvm: The Commissionerate for Government Examinations in Kerala or the Pareeksha Bhavan, as it is more popularly known, is all set to launch an online verification facility in two weeks to enable various Government Departments to cross check the details of the students. This was announced by the Education Minister Shri P K Abu Rabb after declaring the SSLC results in Thiruvananthapuram on April 26, 2012.

m-Governance @ Kerala SSLC, get your 2012 results via SMS

Tvm: As part of the m-Governance initiative of the Kerala State IT Mission under the Department of IT, Government of Kerala, the results of the Kerala SSLC 2012 results will be made available to the subscribers of all mobile service providers in the State through Short Messaging Service (SMS). The SSLC results will be announced by the Education Minister Shri P K Abdu Rabb on April 26 at 11.30 am.

Malayalam Mission logs on to cyber space, launches web magazine

Tvm: Malayalam Mission, a project by the Kerala government to educate the new generation about their native language and culture, has made its mark online in an effort to reach out to non-resident Malayalees. The Malayalam Mission website (mm.kerala.gov.in) was launched by the Minister for Culture, Shri K C Joseph on April 11 in Thiruvananthapuram. A web magazine, Pookalam (pookalam.kerala.gov.in), was also launched on the occasion by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy.

Curtains up on the revamped Kerala State & District web portals

Tvm: The revamped web portal of the Kerala Government (kerala.gov.in) and the 14 District portals were launched today by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy. The new office of the Web & New Media Division of the Information & Public Relations Department (I&PRD) at the Government Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram was also inaugurated on this occasion.

Kerala Public Service Commission introduces ‘one time online’ registration

Tvm: Planning to apply for a Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) job? Now you don’t have to apply every time whenever there is a new vacancy. The Kerala PSC has introduced a new ‘one time registration’ system which allows an applicant to register their details online and the same can be used for all future job applications. This facility was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy at the PSC Head Office in Thiruvananthapuram on March 28, 2012.

IIITM-K to organise workshop on e-Governance initiatives

Tvm: As part of e-Governance initiatives for the benefit of Government employees, industry participants and public at large, the Technopark, Trivandrum based Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management - Kerala (IIITM-K) is organising a three days workshop on Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) during March 26-28, 2012. The last date for registration is March 23.
